Editorial policy
People make real decisions about debts, jobs and leases after reading pages like these. New York Credit Repair holds every page on newyorkcreditrepair.net to the rules below.
How facts get onto a page
- Legal points are taken from the statute text, including the Fair Credit Reporting Act, the Credit Repair Organizations Act and New York General Business Law 458-e and 458-f, or from FTC and CFPB guidance, and the section is named.
- Brooklyn and ZIP 11213 figures come from public datasets, chiefly the Census Bureau's American Community Survey and the CFPB complaint database. Each figure carries a line naming the dataset and the date it was retrieved.
- If we cannot point to a source for a statement, the statement does not go on the site.
What we keep off the site
- Claims that entries will be taken off a report, that a score will reach a number, or that results will arrive by a date.
- Testimonials or reviews that cannot be traced to a real client who agreed to be quoted.
- Sponsored content and affiliate links.
